IT AINT EASYYes, its more of the same. Why cant I stop drawing this?? I got inspired by this panel in Nausicaä, where she breaks free from the enemy on her horseclaw. It was just a really nicely framed shot of a moment where you see her from an upshot, riding away to freedom.
That building on the right could proly be a tad less angled. And his left hand should be reversed. Son of a B! :P I want to re-do this at a bigger size and in watercolors.

I was wondering lately why its been taking me so long to really get cracking on Groove Junction #2. I kinda knew the answer though. Ever since Ive had my laptop next to my drawing table, Ive been turned into an absolute internet fiend. Ill sit there for like hours and search for anything that pops into my head. Ill read Wikipedia entries and watch youtube videos and movies, generally just wasting tons of time. Then yesterday, I read an interview with Frank Miller and he stresses the importance of keeping away from distractions. I guess thats all it took. I just needed to hear from someone I admired and looked up to. Like the internet.

So last night worked out way better. Once the kids were put to bed, I turned everything off but my drawing table light and my iPod and got to work. Good times.

Oh and you proly noticed this blog isnt exactly daily anymore? It sure aint easy! Ill have to change the title now...

I hear that. And I sit the same way, with the laptop next to the main computer. Unfortunately, the net is on the main computer.
