I drew another Audrey Hepburn! This is crazy, but I can't resist. Sometimes I imagine having a career where I just draw my favorite things all day long like this. Anyone hiring for that sort of thing?

Just some stuff I colored up in my sketchbook over the weekend for fun. One is practice for a book I am working on coming up. I'll definitely be posting more on that later.

COLORS

Just colored these up last night for fun. Drawing and comics are not always fun, but when you have something stuck in your head and get it out on paper the way you like, few things are more enjoyable.

Not everything came out the way I wanted in that first piece. Its tough getting the hang of the paper in my new sketchbook. The paper is kinda thin and it just wants to constantly crinkle up and buckle.

I just wrote a bunch of story for the next Sushi Nachos comic. Its gonna be a long one. Don't know yet if that is good or bad :)

I also just watched like the first half of Amelie a little while ago. The whole movie is just amazingly gorgeous, but there is this one scene where she is skipping rocks that is just awe-inspiring to me. I don't know if anyone cares, but the cinematography in that film is just mesmerizing.

If you ever wondered what kind of sketchbook I use for those watercolor sketches and such, wonder no longer. That's it up there.

The other two drawings I left open for coloring later. Maybe I'll get to them this weekend. Every time I see Breakfast at Tiffany's, I want to draw something from every scene (even though that left sketch is more from her Sabrina era). Same thing happens when I watch The Graduate as well.

IM A SUPER RATDespite the fact that I hate making "clean" looking art, I did kinda like this one. Last Audrey for a little while I promise.

WELL IS SHE OR ISNT SHE?I love the movie Breakfast at Tiffany's. Even when I was a kid, it was fun to watch, and in a completely different way than when I was older. Before, it was just a fun innocent romance of a couple falling in love. They kiss under a doorway after stealing some masks from the five and dime and realize they love each other at the end of the movie. As I grew older, I noticed things like where Holly's money came from and likewise, Paul's. It wasnt the same fun innocence, but it was still a fun look at two characters who build similar cages for themselves and then, similarly, set themselves free.
I havent read the book, but Im aware that the original story is even more adult. I dont know if I should ruin it.

Anyway, this movie is really high on the ol favorite movies list. Im gonna do a better one sometime, but for now you get this.
