I've been looking at a bunch of Jack Kirby stuff lately for some Elephantmen pages I have to do. I have to say, I've never been a fan, but now that I have been studying his work, its really growing on me. There is this power in his pages that projects the sort of drama that is needed in a comic. I know my own stuff could use the kind of momentum and interest his art generated.I thought about it and drew that picture of Robin up there as a warm up in my sketch book. The only homage to Kirby there is those big fists. I'm still working on it.
